As a senior member of the Administrative Construction Management team, V-Anne supported Airport staff in completing a $2.6 billion expansion program.She performed joint venture and subcontract administration; tracked contract compliance reporting for more than 100 contractors and consultants; analyzed current program management procedures and practices; and recommended operational improvements.

As project director, V-Anne assigned and supervised field staff, oversaw contracts, budgets and schedules, and assisting clients with ancillary political issues related to construction. V-Anne directed nine construction management projects in the Bay Area, including two projects comprising more than $100 million in modernization and repair of 35 school sites in San Francisco and South San Francisco.

Two major construction management firms in the Bay Area asked V-Anne to lead their corporate strategic planning processes.These assignments included developing mission/vision/values statements, researching internal and external environmental factors that would influence strategic direction, selecting strategic objectives, and developing goals and strategies to meet those objectives.She also wrote the draft and final plans.
Long-term incentive program, San Francisco, CA
Tight labor conditions led a growing construction management firm to examine its processes for recruiting, retaining, re-training and rewarding its employees. V-Anne served on the core team of an 8-person task force that spent eight months designing a long-term incentive program for the company. Her contribution included researching best practices in the subject area; designing an employee survey and analyzed its results; writing the draft and final document for presentation to the CEO; and leading one of several teams established to implement the task force's recommendations.
Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April, Marin County, CA
V-Anne serves on the Board of Directors for the Marin County, California affiliate. Rebuilding Together is the nation's largest non-profit organization for restoring homes owned by low-income seniors, persons with disabilities, and families with children. V-Anne was Board Secretary and Director of Logistics for the group's annual National Rebuilding Day.

V-Anne served several terms as treasurer for a non-profit organization with annual budgets up to $300,000. She also led several annual budgeting exercises.

V-Anne conducted a formal, two-day partnering workshop for the US Army Corps of Engineers with the goal of developing a cooperative, team-oriented approach to a dredging project in northern California.She participated in developing the meeting agenda, trained participants in team building skills, kept the participants on track and focused, assisted in conflict resolution, and prepared a partnering charter at the workshop's conclusion.
San Francisco Unified School District teambuilding, San Francisco, CA
Nineteen participants from this school district’s business services unit convened for a two-day retreat designed to improve group morale and efficiency. V-Anne led the group through eight hours of team development exercises as part of the retreat.The group studied personal work styles and conflict management techniques, learned tools for building workflow processes, and became better acquainted as individuals.They also created a planning tool and schedule for developing operational procedures back on the jobsite.

V-Anne led seven document control technicians and managers through a six-week teambuilding program designed to resolve existing conflicts within the group and streamline workflow processes.The group learned techniques for working as a team; rearranged their workspace to minimize disruptions; created a detailed work flow chart that highlighted inefficiencies in the work process; and developed new procedures to improve working efficiency.
