Crooked River Arts Council - Grant Application Guidelines

This information is intended to help you apply for a grant from Crooked River Arts Council, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization committed to showcasing and supporting the arts in Northeast Ohio through music festivals and various art-related endeavors. As a part of its mission, Crooked River Arts Council is providing this grant opportunity to an exceptional individual with promising musical ability, yet limited resources. Crooked River Arts Council wishes to grant financial support to a high school senior in Portage or Summit County, OH, whose desire is to transition to a music career after completing all high school requirements. The amount of the grant is $5,000 and will be paid to the institution providing the musical training.

Each proposal will be evaluated individually; the grant selection committee will choose a candidate based on need and quality of submission. All decisions made by the committee are final. When submitting a grant request, please include the following:
1. Application cover sheet – include your name, home address (street, city, state, zip), school, education level, projected graduation date, email address, telephone number(s) and any other contact information
2. A narrative that explains the need for the grant – not to exceed two pages
- Specific objectives
- Need for funding / specific use of funds
- Outcomes expected
- Time frame for results achievement
Applications will be accepted beginning February 17, 2017 and ending April 17, 2017. Grant winner will be notified by July 14, 2017. All applicants will be notified whether or not selected for the grant. All Portage County, OH high school seniors with a desire to pursue a music career are encouraged to apply.
