Meeting was called to order at 1:35 PM; introductions were made along with attendance

Agenda was approved as presented with no additions.

No conflicts were declared

4.  Approval of Minutes February 03rd, 2015
Motion: “That the Minutes of the February 03rd, 2015 NTSCC meeting be approved as amended”

Amendment was made under Copper Cliff Update …Good Food Box is already up and running with the Copper Cliff Library, the NT partnered with the Neighbourhood CAN and the library to offer the service.” Remove: “partnered with the Neighbourhood CAN.”

5.  New Business

a)  Workplan Training – Sudbury & District Health Unit

Presenters; Ghislane Goudreau & Shannon Dowdall-Smith

Ghislaine and Shannon reviewed the Planning Cycle with the group – Appendix A
They shared a blank template for a workplan – Appendix B and an example of a planned family event: Offer Free Skating at the Walden Arena. The group went through each section of the workplan and brainstormed ideas. – Appendix C

The Planning Cycle was broken down to Four Key areas to consider when working on a workplan outline, with a reminder to “Plan less & do more.”

1.  Assess: Community needs - Consider where your neighbourhood is at and connect with someone who is really in touch with their community, a key informant.

2.  Plan: Desired outcomes use S.M.A.R.T. model.

S.pecific, - Target a specific area for improvement

M.easurable - Quantify or at least suggest an indicator of progress.

A.chieveable- Specify who will do it.

R.ealistic - State what results can realistically be achieved, given available resources.

T.ime Related - specify when the result(s) can be achieved.

Coalition for Livable Sudbury http://www.liveablesudbury.org.If Project Impact appears next year, NT's would like to discuss together as a group, share ideas and participate in the project. Project Impact brochure was circulated to the group – Appendix D

a) Terms of Reference for the NTCC – Appendix E

Cathy attended the Chairing 101 workshop and a suggestion was to include expectations of attendees in our TOR's. Should they not be able to attend, they will send a designate in their place. TOR will be revised and sent to the members through email for approval.
