The word La Collina means ‘The Hills’ named after the area where it was established, in 1989. The restaurant first opened its doors in Castle Hill Towers before moving to its current location in Terminus Street. La Collina has always been and still is a traditional Italian family restaurant. La Collina has stood the test of time and seen off many competitors. La Collina has been able to remain successful due to their unrivalled freshness, quality, quantity and commitment to great customer service. La Collina has received a number of awards and certificates in recognition and appreciation of its commitment to providing the people in the Hills Community with a great dining experience.
In thanks for the support the community has shown La Collina, La Collina have actively supported the community by providing donations and gift vouchers to charities and for charity events. Being a family business, La Collina has built its reputation on its friendly environment and our guests praise us for what we do for them.

La Collina was fully renovated in November 2006 by Mardiros Sahakijian, a multi award winner in his previous restaurant in Pymble. He won the Australian Achiever award two years in a row, 2005 and 2006, as well as first prize in the NSW and ACT state wide small business champion award in (fine dining) in 2006. About Us
The current owner and manager of La Collina, Mardiros Sahakijian, has extensive experience in the catering business having been involved in the industry since 1979. Mardiros has worked in big hotels as a Food and Beverage Manager, and managed many restaurants in Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour, one of which was Jo Jo’s Seafood Restaurant, before starting and managing his own restaurant.
The Head Chef at La Collina, Daniel Manccino, was the executive chef at Motta Restaurant in Milan, before migrating to Australia and working for eight years in Italian Restaurants throughout Leichardt. He specialises in Northern Italian cuisine.
When you visit La Collina you will be served and supervised by the owner himself ensuring customers are provided with quality service. The owner and the chef actively seek out the freshest produce. The food at La Collina is made using the freshest seafood, meats and vegetables, hand picked by the chef and owner, to guarantee the satisfaction of their customers. At the restaurant we serve, home made pastas, veal, chicken, lamb, beef and a variety of seafood. Being an Italian Restaurant, La Collina, using the same principles of freshness and commitment to quality ensure that their Pizza’s are one of the best in the area.
