Come see the Magical Music from the Movies

at DISNEY IN CONCERT August 30

The Woodlands, Texas – Come be enchanted by DISNEY IN CONCERT Magical Music from the Movies Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. with the Houston Symphony conducted by Stuart Chafetz. Concertgoers also can enjoy high definition projected clips and storyboard art from Disney’s iconic films.

Tickets are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Huntsman and Woodforest National Bank. Tickets are not required for free seating. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Every new generation has a favorite Disney musical, whether it's “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pocahontas,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Aladdin” or “The Lion King.” And then there are the classics, from a “Mary Poppins” medley to the "Yo ho" of “Pirates of the Caribbean.” When everyone joins together for memorable moments and melodies that Mouseketeers of all ages know by heart, it feels like a small world, after all.

Guests can listen to the sounds of Oak Ridge High School Orchestra performing on the Side Stage in the North Plaza from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Other plaza activities start at 6:30 p.m. in the North and South Plazas featuring Fidelity Investments, The Pavilion Partners, Century 21 Realty Group, Texas Children’s Hospital, Radio Disney Road Crew, Alzheimer’s Association, KSBJ and Audi of America, the official automobile of The Pavilion. Guests can register to win Tommy Bahama’s “Best Seats in the House,” which includes free entry and dinner for four at the next performing arts event. “Treat” yourself to free ice cream! The first 1,250 guests to visit the Fidelity Investments Ice Cream Social located in the North Plaza get free ice cream with all the fixings.

Guests are welcome to have a picnic at their seat or on the hill. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion. For guests sitting on the hill, lawn chairs will also be provided free for this event!

Orchestra tickets can be purchased at The Pavilion Box Office, located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands. Tickets are not required for free seating. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and on event days through the start of the show. Tickets also are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Fiesta, select H-E-B and Walmart locations and Media Magic, by calling 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Preferred parking is available in the on-site Town Center Garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $5 per vehicle for this and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests also may park in any of the five free parking lots on the southwest side of The Pavilion. The free, color-coded lots are connected to The Pavilion by corresponding pathways with signs leading across The Waterway.
