Important Information
Due to the terrorist events in the United States, Fresno State Interim Athletic Director Thomas Boeh has announced that Fresno State will implement several changes to increase security for major events at Save Mart Center. For the Latino Commencement increase security will be implemented to insure a safe and successful event.
Implemented security protocols will be performed at the entrance gates at Save Mart Center on May 20, 2006. Security checks will consists of the following:
v No backpacks, duffel bags, ice chests or large containers will be allowed
v Smoking is prohibited within the arena.
v Outside Food, Drinks, cans, bottles or containers of any kind may not be brought into the arena.
v Shirt and shoes must be worn in the arena.
v Fireworks and weapons are not permitted in the arena
v Laser pointers and air horns are not to be brought in the arena
v Management reserves the right to refuse admittance to those who do not comply with rules, regulations, and searches of person, or persons’, and may be directed to leave as well.
v Purses and small handbags will be subject to search at entrances
v Thermoses are subject to search at entrance
v All cars entering the parking lot adjacent to the venues are subject to search
v All vendors will be subject to search
v Increased number of security and venue personnel
v Metal detectors will be available at the gates
v For convenience, all gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

* Latino Commencement Celebration’s rehearsal will be on May 18th, 2006, at 4:00 p.m.
* Family and Friends of Graduates are advised not to bring items that may obstruct the view of other people in the stadium, such as balloons, or large stuffed animals.
* Guest’s of Graduates are strongly encouraged that children always be accompanied by an adult at all times.
* It would be greatly appreciated that Guest’s remain seated till all graduates names have been announced.
v The Latino Commencement Ceremony will end at 9:00 P.M at which Save Mart Center will be closed.
