Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) is a non-profit joint action agency which has been in existence since 1968. NCPA purchases, generates, transmits, sells, interchanges, and pools wholesale electric energy and capacity for its member utilities. NCPA is headquartered in Roseville, CA (population@ 124,000) at the base of the Sierra Foothills.NCPA’s headquarters is in an ideal location midway between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. NCPA is seeking a Treasurer-Controller to operate and manage the Agency’s accounting, treasury, budgeting and financial management and reporting systems. With a $350 million budget and a staff of 8 employees, the Treasurer-Controller also manages the Agency’s cash and investment portfolio, minimizing financial risk and ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet vendor, debt service and other obligations while maximizing funds available for investment. The typical candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, 8+ years financial management experience, including four years as a supervisor, and have knowledge of public agency/government accounting standards, as they relate to a public power entity. CPA with public electric utility and auditing experience is preferred. The starting salary range is $143,432 - $179,290 per year; placement within the range is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
