Summer Internships-Risk Analyst

Pasadena, CA and Denver, CO

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Intern Risk Analyst will Support the Corporate Risk Manager and Risk Management Department in a wide array of projects and tasks, including the following:

  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and preparing underwriting data for Parsons’ corporate insurance policy renewals.
  • Input policy, claim, and project information, including quotes, policy numbers, submission data, etc. into Parsons’ Risk Management Information “RMIS” System.
  • Work collaboratively with the Risk Management group to develop recommendations for the website and RMIS system.
  • Assist with requests for Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID cards.
  • Participate in Insurance Broker and Carrier meetings.
  • Assist with small presentations and ad hoc projects that will often include the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint software.

The Intern Risk Analyst will be exposed to a variety of global Insurance products and Risk Management techniques that will provide great experience for those interested in pursuing a career in Risk Management or a related field.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate should be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Students must be majoring in Risk Management or related fields of study such as Actuarial, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • Students shall have completed at least the primaryinsurance and risk management coursework.
  • Candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including the ability to create spreadsheets in Excel using pivot tables and charts.
  • Work experience in the insurance industry or risk management field will also be considered.
