Autumn Dressage for All!

Autumn 2014 League

This dressage competition is open to everyone, even if you have never competed in dressage before.

Dressage tests:

Saturday 4th October - Class 1 – British Dressage Introductory B (2009)

(Qualifier) Class 2 – Dressage Ireland Preliminary Test P5 (2012)

(Entries close Thurs. 2nd Oct.) Class 3 – British Dressage Novice 28 (2008)

Saturday 11th October - Class 1 – InterDressage Walk and Trot F

(Qualifier) Class 2 – British Dressage Preliminary 14 (2006)

(Entries close Thurs. 9th Oct.) Class 3 – British Dressage Novice 36 (2002)
Saturday 18th October - Class 1 – British Dressage Introductory A (2008)

(Final) Class 2 – Dressage Ireland Preliminary Test P15 (2012)

(Entries close Thurs. 16th Oct.) Class 3 – British Dressage Novice 30 (2006)

·  Entry Fee £9 per class

·  Entries made without payment will be a £11 fee on the day.

·  Withdrawn entries are refundable up to entries closing date of the class.

·  Entries withdrawn after closing date for class are non-refundable (entries made with the £11 payment on the day option must still be paid if withdrawn after closing date.)

To qualify for the final each horse/pony and rider combination must compete in that Class at one separate qualifiers.
Rosettes for placing each week, prizes at the final. (NB Prizes may be adjusted in each class according to entry numbers.)

Combinations that qualify in 2 classes may only be eligible for prizes at the final in the higher of the classes. (Entry numbers dependant.)

Rider dress code:

·  A 3-point harness hat to standard PAS 015 or EN 1384 to be worn. If wearing a skull cap, use a dark blue or black cover,

·  A navy or black jacket with shirt and tie or stock is usually worn. A hacking jacket or plain school jumper will be fine,

·  Beige, cream or white jodhpurs or breeches,

·  Leather or rubber long black or brown boots, short boots with jodhpurs or plain chaps with short boots as long as they match the colour of the boots,

·  Spurs are permitted, where necessary, only in the Preliminary and Novice classes.

·  Whips are generally permitted, if required and to be no longer than 110cm,

·  Plain coloured gloves must be worn.
Your horse:

·  Must be smart, tidy and preferably plaited where possible,

·  A plain traditional coloured saddle (ie black or brown), leather or synthetic,

·  A plain traditional coloured bridle (ie black or brown), leather or synthetic,

·  A snaffle bit must be used.

·  It is optional to use a numnah or saddlecloth, preferably white (or plain black or brown),

·  Martingales, rein stops or bit guards are not permitted. A breastplate is allowed.

·  Boots, including over reach boots, and bandages may be used while warming up, but must be . removed before entering arena.
The Event will be judged under Mill Yard Rules (based on Dressage Ireland rules.)
The Organisers reserve the right to deny entry to any competitor.
The Organisers decision is final.
