CGOA CHAPTER CHALLENGE 2018 FOR CHEMO HATS!

Chemo hats for men, women, and children is the theme for this year’s challenge,

January 15. 2018 to June 30, 2018

THE RULES:

  1. The CROCHETEDhats will be tallied in complete sets: 1 man, 1 woman/youth, and 1 child hat will count as one complete set. Knitted hats will not be included in the tally. Winners will be determined by how many complete sets are done by each Chapter andthen divided by the number of their CGOA members. (This way, the smaller chapters can compete fairly with the larger chapters, same as last year’s challenge) Winners will be announced at the Members Meeting at the 2018 Chain Link Conference, July 25-28, in Portland, Oregon.
  2. All hatsdonated to each Chapter’s local hospitals and/or cancer centers, hospice centers, or other organizations such as Shriners, Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, etc., that will accept them. Do not mail them to CGOA!
  3. Send an initial email to Nancy, that includes your Chapter name and location, how many Members you have, and how many are CGOA members.
  4. At the end of each month, starting with February, send me an email with updated hat totals, and a picture with the hats, some members, and a signwith total hats, and Chapter name on it. We’ll be posting some notices on CGOA’s website and Facebook pages with progress-to-date cheering on’s.
  5. Send a final email with total counts and pictures of your completed setsno later than 11:59 pm, JUNE 30. Any emails dated after that will not be accepted into the tallies.
