When indicating your Catering budget for your event it is important to consider the following:
The Food: Quality of food/cuisine is never compromised when considering your budget. Obviously the type of food to be served
(ex. chicken vs. steak vs. seafood) can vary in price but never quality. When it comes to your cost considerations for food, the biggest
Factoris how the food willbe served and the quantity of food to be prepared, and the manner in which it will be displayed, etc.
Servers: If you would like your food to be served/passed, you will require staff to accommodate you. Staffing can range anywhere
from $15.00/hour to $125.00/hour.
Equipment: This includes everything from tables and chairs to utensils. Depending on the size of your event and the number of
people attending, this price can range from 10-50% of the total cost of your event. When larger equipment is needed, such as tents,
on-site kitchens, etc., this cost may be much more.
Extras: This includes Alcohol, Bartenders, decorations, centerpieces, flowers, security, valet etc. The costs will vary from caterer to caterer
but must be considered when thinking of your budget. Full Service Caterers (like “Gumby’s” Custom Catering) can provide any or all requests!

Expect to pickup or have disposable trays/boxes/pans of food delivered. Setup and serving of food is up to you. Delivery extra.
$$ - 2 Star**
Servers: No Service: Delivery/Setup; Plates, Silverware, etc.–DisposablePaper/Plastic or Return Pick-up for Hard Goods.
Expect food to be delivered and setup by caterer. Serving of food is up to you. Delivery, Return and/or Set-Up charges will be assessed.
$$$ - 3 Star***
Servers: Yes; Service: Buffet, Server/Carver; Plates, Silverware, etc. - Glasses, plates, silverware or “faux china” disposables.
Expect casual but elegant buffet lines/stations. Carver and/or server to serve foods and beverages. Alcohol services will be additional charges.
$$$$ - 4 Star****
Server: Yes; Service: Full Service; Plates, Silverware, etc. -China, Glass, Standard Tablecloths, etc.
Expect sit down event or Upscale, Elegant Buffet/Stations. Full service staff, clean up crew, many bells and whistles. Alcohol services extra.
$$$$$ - 5 Star*****
Servers: Yes; Service: Full Service; Plates, Silverware, etc. -China, Glass, silver flatware, Tablecloths, seat covers, etc., Full Service Staff.
Expect top of the line event with all the bells and whistles. Caterer will provide all service, supplies, food etc. required. Alcohol services extra.
Please keep in mind Applicable Taxes, Gratuities and/or Service Charges may not be included, and will be added to your final
billing, based on the particular Foods, Goods, and Services you have selected.
