Persons to consider for the Distinguished Leader Citation are registered unit leaders and committee members, activity coordinators, Chartered Organization Representatives, persons who have helped your unit, no matter what or when you’ve asked, persons you know will always provide the very best to the Scouting families.

Don’t take it for granted that other have seen the same things that you have from this person. Complete the nomination form to ensure the person is considered.

Please try to be as accurate as possible. If you are unsure as to what awards have been earned, start with the Adult Training Record that your unit maintains. If you need more information, ask fellow Scouters, committee members, and the spouse/significant other. It is important that training dates and awards be accurate.

Thank you for taking the time to nominate one or more individuals from your unit. It is important for these outstanding people to be recognized for their selfless efforts during a meeting of their peers.
