Coursework at junior high is critical to ensure students have the skills and knowledge required for high school. Starting with the Class of 2011, students need to successfully pass (with a D or better) 8 semesters of classes in the 8th grade (comprised of at least 1 semester of mathematics and 1 semester of language arts) to enter the 9th grade. Transition for students in special education will be determined through the IEP process.
