Grading Policy

60% Assessments (quizzes, tests, projects)

40% Homework, Classwork, Participation

Retesting

·  Students are allowed to retake a failed assessment one time to receive a grade of no more than 70%.

·  Retakes will be taken during the next available tutoring date.

·  A “Request to Retest” form must be completed and handed in prior to the retake.

What should I do if I am ABSENT?

·  If possible, see what you missed prior to class by checking the website or talking to a friend from class.

·  You have as many days as you were out to complete the missed assignments. For example, if you were gone 2 days, the work is due 2 classes later.

·  If you missed an assessment the day you were absent, it will need to be taken during the next tutoring date offered, or by appointment.

Other Expectations:

·  Participate in class.

·  Stay organized.

·  Write your homework in your agenda at the beginning of the class each day.

·  Take your ISN home each night so that you can always be reviewing and preparing for upcoming assessments.

·  Ask question! Please don’t hesitate to ask for help. I am here to help you and so are your classmates.

*If you ever need help or have questions, please do not hesitate to come talk to me after school, during tutoring, or send me an email.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood the content of this form.
