Health requirements for all animals. Have all testing done at your state lab within 30 days. Send copies if you have multiple consignments. Follow the requirements and test cattle on or shortly after Sept. 17th.

Have an individual health paper identifying each animal by one of the following acceptable forms of ID. Send copies of sheets with multiple animal entries.

NOTE: Also use the Official Breed Tattoo to correspond with the ear tag number used.

ID requirements for all cattle selling

o  USDA "840" button tag number (includes the visual number and/or RFID) - Our preference.

o  USDA metal ear tag number that are part of the National Uniform Ear tagging System (NUES) (Starts with state 2-digit code known as “Brite” tag – Example, 35ABC2014 )

o  15-digit animal ID number with the first three digits/letters USA, 900 or greater i.e. 980, 982 or 985 (accepted as ID through March 11, 2015)

T.B. TESTING: ALL animals Must be Tested within 60 days prior regardless of State T.B. status.

Bangs Test : Test all Non-vaccinates 6 months and over, and all OCV animals 18 months and older for Bangs with BAPA or RAP. Calfhood Vaccinated animals under 18 months of age need not be tested, however must show date of birth, date of vaccination and vaccination tattoo on the health paper. Test within 30 days prior to sale.

Anaplasmois: (C.F. or c Elisa Test). Not required Blue Tongue: (c Elisa Test). Not required

Shipping Fever: A shot for shipment is recommended. List date and type of vaccine used.

PG Examine: Have all bred animals pregnancy checked and results noted.

Embryo certificates and signed transfers identifying the embryos being sold must be sent.

Information: Include the signed transfers on Registration papers and any up-dates. See check list.

Pre-sale preparation starts at home! Please body clip your consignments at home.

Please take time to work with your cattle. Have all cattle body clipped at home. The barn crew will do the top lines and any touch-up clipping only. Having consignments broke to lead for any sale is very important. The barn will be open on Tues. Oct. 13th. If possible send some TMR or hay along for your cows. Send milk replacer for calves not weaned. *All sale cattle will be allowed to show on Sat. for a $10 entry.*

New requirement: On enclosed checklist, sign and return with Registration and health paper.

Sale commission is 15% plus transfer fees and $1.00 beef check off. Settlement will be within 30 days or when all registrations have cleared the National associations of the breeds involved.
