A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND MR. DWAYNE HOWELL FOR HIS MOST DEPENDABLE AND DEDICATED TWENTY YEAR CAREER AS A PRINCIPAL, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, AND COACH FOR CLARENDON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT THREE ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AND TO EXTEND TO HIM EVERY BEST WISH FOR A HAPPY AND ENJOYABLE RETIREMENT.
Whereas, the students and residents of Clarendon County School District Three have been blessed with Mr. Dwayne Howell’s remarkable and unprecedented twentyyear career as principal, athletic director, and coach for Clarendon County School District Three; and
Whereas, Mr. Howell was “Mr. Everything” for Clarendon County School District Three serving as middle school principal, high school principal, athletic director, head football coach, and head golf coach; and
Whereas, when the 20062007 school year begins, five new people will take over the duties that Mr. Howell has left behind; and
Whereas, over the course of his career, he served as a mentor and leader for a countless number of athletes and students at East Clarendon High School as well as faculty members, coaches, and school officials who worked along his side; and
Whereas, Coach Howell was known for always encouraging his athletes to perform their best and be patient. He never got upset or scolded his players if they were struggling; and
Whereas, his compassion and love for education, the students, and the staff is beyond measure, and he will be missed greatly by all; and
Whereas, after twenty years of proudly serving Clarendon County School District Three, Coach Howell will be joining his wife Cindy, whom he credits for his success, in retirement after she too has recently retired after twenty years of serving Sumter County School District Two. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and commend Mr. Dwayne Howell for his most dependable and dedicated twenty year career as a principal, athletic director, and head coach for Clarendon County School District Three on the occasion of his retirement and extend to him every best wish for a happy and enjoyable retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Dwayne Howell.
