Project 1: Marketing and Business Unit - Level Funding
The purpose of this project was to introduce Level Funding as a type of healthcare funding arrangement between the insurance carrier and the Employer groups. This funding arrangement type introduced annual reconciliation of the claim amounts paid by the groupmore than the actual incurred claims. This was a Blue List project which are high visibility and highly impacting projects within the Organization.
High Level Responsibilities:
- Managed and lead a team of three Business Systems Analyst by initiating the Project Kick off meeting working with the project manager.

This solution allowed internal sales representatives, GoHealth Sales representatives, and Prospective subscribers to purchase their health insurance through Horizon Sales portal leveraging the Go Health Marketplace capabilities.

These changes compel all the impacted area to make changes to accommodate the government mandates as well as actuarial recommendations.

Until 2016 all the Horizon Dental Products were available to customers either via Horizon Sales Portal or off exchange via GoHealth Marketplace (CMS). As part of this implementation the Dental products are also available on Healthcare.gov for consumer market. The anticipated enrollment was around 50K on exchange subscribers giving Horizon larger market share of the consumer Dental product segment.

The purpose of this project is to replace the existing Rating engine used by Underwriting and Actuarial where currently a lot of manual intervention is required. This project is carried on with a two-phased approach, where the phase 1 is about consolidating the Rating-Pricing data into a centralized data store (CDS) and phase 2 will be to connect the CDS with a new rating engine to generate the rates with minimal manual intervention.

Integrating the renewal functionality is a very complex initiative where the existing iQuote application has to directly communication with the pricing database to get the current rates, claims, demographics etc.
I have worked with a team of six Systems Analysts.
High level Responsibilities:
- Worked closely with Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as part of Requirement Gathering stage and creating Technical Use case Documents and Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
