Match Reports
U13 Section 1 – Bayside def by FDNA Diamonds - 22-29
We played a very good FDNA and had a slow start to be 14 down at half time. Outstanding second half to get to only five down, but a few bad errors at critical times let us down. Very proud of the girls, their determination was outstanding. Next time we will get the win.
U13 Section 3 – Bayside def by Prahran - 15-16
The directive tonight was to lead in front, apply our trademark pressure and have fun and what a different team we were compared to last time against top of the ladder, Prahran! We tried to slow down the play and not force the ball into our attack which worked so well and resulted in goals. Our loose ball gets are improving every game as our eyes are up! So proud of each and everyone of our players tonight - super proud!
U13 Section 6 – Bayside def by WDNA - 8-19
Coach unavailable for comment.
U15 Section 1 – Bayside - Bye
U15 Section 3 – Bayside def by Caulfield & District - 27-31
Great pressure right down the court. Working better as a team, still need to cut down our errors and convert the turnovers which will then turn the score around. Great work girls. Work hard at training and bring that into the game.
U15 Section 4 – Bayside def by Kingston - 18-21
Coach unavailable for comment.
U15 Section 5 – Bayside def Whitehorse Peridot - 27-24
Well done to the girls on a very close win. My team definitely likes to keep me on the edge of my seat.
We need to reset after a turnover and make sure we don’t try and force the ball down the court. Attackers need to look down the court and be aware of where their other players are. Balance the court at all times. We lost the ball too many times with a throw in. Make sure we set up correctly for these. Well done girls and looking forward to another exciting game this week.
U17 Waverley Prem. Section 1 (Wed. night) – Bayside def Melbourne East - 57-25
After a disappointing start the girls redeemed themselves and came away with a convincing win. Lots of things to work on at training. Good win.
U17 Waverley Prem. Section 2 (Wed. night) – Bayside def by Pakenham - 37-38
Coach unavailable for comment.
U17 Parkville Division 1 – Bayside def St.Therese’s - 29-13
Coach unavailable for comment.
U17 Parkville Division 2 – Bayside def DC Force - 22-18
The girls had a good win on Tuesday in some very hot conditions. We are starting to play some really good team netball as we make a push towards finals!
Open Division 1 – Bayside def St. Therese’s Pride - 37-14
Div 1 had a convincing win over St Therese. No wonder they forfeited last time around. It was great to have most of the team back on deck as we push for finals. The first quarter was excellent. Grace Healey missed the first one, but was deadly accurate after that. Our attacking was much more structured tonight, a credit to the hard work put in. Defence only let in eight goals to three quarter time, with Alicia Wise and Emily Kay having intercepts between them. Great effort team!
Open Division 2 – Bayside - Bye
Open Division 3 – Bayside def by Westside Saints - 18-33
Div3 had a very good first half against the top team Westside; only one goal behind but deserved to be ahead. Second half wasn't as good as we gave the ball away too often all around the court. Good game from Ann and Maddie despite our team loss.
Open Division 4 – Bayside – Bye
Go Bayside!
