Description of Services:
- The Dream Center is a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to individuals and families in poverty with an emphasis on helping them improve their lives with a hand up instead of a hand out. The Dream Center serves walk-ins, has a mentoring program, assists in finding employment and offers free classes on budgeting, parenting, etc. Participants earn “Dream Dollars” for attending classes which can be used to purchase clothing and personal hygiene items, diapers, bus tickets, use of laundry facilities and showers. The Dream Center facility also houses the SHINE soup kitchen, 5 Point food pantry, Reach Children’s Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Family Promise of Pickens County, Pre-Destined After School and Pathway Church.
Eligibility for Services:
- Any person needing assistance can meet with an intake volunteer and needs are met on a case by case basis. One way assistance is only offered in the case of an emergency and other assistance is earned with Dream Dollars. A volunteer can assist in job applications and resumes with an appointment. We do not pay utility bills or rent.

Description of Services:
- Our emergency shelter provides a safe place for women and their children who are fleeing from domestic violence. MARYS Hope is a transition program offering help to women and children who have survived domestic violence (not needing the shelter) in regaining a safe and independent lifestyle. MARYS House is a faith-based nonprofit organization with a mission to protect victims as well as help them reestablish a life free from abuse. We also work with youth to change thinking and behavior in order to break the cycle of violence. Serving God by serving others in the Upstate of SC, MARYS House demonstrates Christ’s love as we lead our clients to closer relationships with God.
Eligibility for Services:
-Shelter services are for victims of domestic violence who are in imminent danger. Transition services are for victims of domestic violence (past or present) in need of services other than the shelter, to regain independence.

-A sheltering program for families in need of housing. Offers supports to complete education, gain employment, and become independent. Clients are housed in a different church facility each week.
Eligibility for Services:
-Must have at least one child.
-Pass a background check.
-Not have an open case with the Department of Social Services.
-No one with involvement in domestic violence.
-No drug addiction.
-Must be committed to working the program.

Description of Services:
- The Dream Center is a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to individuals and families in poverty with an emphasis on helping them improve their lives with a hand up instead of a hand out. The Dream Center serves walk-ins, has a mentoring program, assists in finding employment and offers free classes on budgeting, parenting, etc. Participants earn “Dream Dollars” for attending classes which can be used to purchase clothing and personal hygiene items, diapers, bus tickets, use of laundry facilities and showers. The Dream Center facility also houses the SHINE soup kitchen, 5 Point food pantry, Reach Children’s Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Family Promise of Pickens County, Pre-Destined After School and Pathway Church.
Eligibility for Services:
- Any person needing assistance can meet with an intake volunteer and needs are met on a case by case basis. One way assistance is only offered in the case of an emergency and other assistance is earned with Dream Dollars. A volunteer can assist in job applications and resumes with an appointment. We do not pay utility bills or rent.
