AllWe thank you God.

MinisterAbove all, for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. For His life of perfect service and obedience, His death upon the cross, His mighty resurrection and His promise to be with us in His Spirit for ever.

AllWe thank you God.

MinisterAs our Saviour taught us, so we pray:

AllOur Father, who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name;

Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done.

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation;

But deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

The power and the glory,

For ever and ever. Amen.

Sussex by the Sea

During the singing of Sussex by the Sea a collection will be made in aid of a local Sussex Charity and the Standards will be returned and re-join their Groups.

Now is the time for marching, now let your hearts be gay,

Hark to the merry bugles, sounding along our way.

So let your voices ring, my boys, and take your time from me.

And I’ll sing you a song as we march along, of Sussex by the sea.

Chorus:For we’re the men from Sussex, Sussex by the Sea,

We plough and sow and reap and mow,

And useful men are we:

And when you come to Sussex, whoever you may be,

You can tell them all that we’ll stand or fall

For Sussex by the Sea

Oh Sussex, Sussex by the Sea,

Good old Sussex by the Sea

You can tell them all that we’ll stand or fall

For Sussex by the Sea

Sometimes your feet are weary, sometimes the way is long.

Sometimes the day is dreary, sometimes the world is wrong

But as you let your voices ring, your cares will fly away.

So we’ll sing you a song as we march along, of Sussex by the Sea.

Chorus:

Blessing

God grant to the living, grace, to the departed, rest,

To the Church, The Queen, the Commonwealth,

And to all humankind, peace and concord;

And to us and all your servants, life everlasting,

And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Be upon you and all whom you love, living, departed, now and forever.

Amen

National Anthem

God save our gracious Queen,

Long live our noble Queen,

God save the Queen.

Send her victorious,

Happy and glorious,

Long to reign over us,

God save the Queen.

Dismissal

Minister:Go in Peace, to love and serve the Lord

In the name of Christ.

All:Amen

We would like to thank the National Trust for allowing us to use PetworthPark for this Service and also to Tony Sneller and the Petworth & District Community Association for the use of their personal address system.
