Aims

§  To improve the educational standards of all children attending Ebony schools.

§  To provide specialist tuition services to children from the African-Caribbean community.

§  To provide an information and advice service to parents and carers regarding the educational needs of their child or children.

Lambeth: Elmgreen School, Elmcourt Rd, SE27 9BZ (10am – 12pm)

Croydon: St Joseph’s College, Beulah Hill, SE19 3HL (11 – 1pm)

Southwark: Peckham Library, Peckham Hill St, SE15 (2.30 – 4.30pm)

Greenwich: St Joseph’s RC School, Commerell St SE10 9AN (1-3pm)

Hackney: Stamford Hill Library, Portland Avenue, N16 4SD (9.30 – 11.30am)

Brent: Bridge Park Centre, Brentfield, Harrow Rd NW10 ORG (11 – 1pm)

Hammersmith: Edward Wood Centre, 60 – 70 Norland Rd, W11 4TX (11-1pm)

Haringey: St Anne’s Library, Cissbury Rd, London N15 5PU (11-1pm)

Staff/student

Ratio: KS1-4 1:10

Subjects: National curriculum core subjects: English, mathematics & science

Creative Studies: social skills, study skills and Black history; to improve the self-esteem, confidence and communication skills of the student

Fees: £16 for one pupil. £6 for every additional child from the same family
(siblings). Payments are required to be made one month in advance.
No refunds for pupil non-attendance. Two weeks notice must be given
if you wish to withdraw your child(ren).
Registration: A registration fee of £35 is payable at enrolment
(Covers workbooks, parents workbook, online services, copying etc)
£10 to be paid by returning pupils for new work packs etc.
Tutor: All tutors are required to have a recognised degree/teacher
qualification and/or one year's teaching experience.
Curriculum: Reception: mathematics, English, science and art.
National Curriculum followed for all children 5-16
Homework: Given weekly
