Scout Commonwealth Youth Exchange Program

The Scout exchange program has been running for over 10 years giving UK Explorer Scouts the opportunity to spend their summer holidays in Australia living with an Australian Explorer Scout and their family. With it being an exchange program, the opposite happens, where a UK Explorer Scout and their family play host to an Australian Explorer Scout from 1st December 2014 – 11th January. Could you or know someone who could host for this winter's exchange? For more details or to apply, please email call the international team at Gilwell Park on 0845 300 1818

For all Leaders

During the last few months a box of Japanese themed activities and resources called Japan in a Box has been issued by the UK Contingent to every Jamboree Unit. Each Unit is encouraged to use the box to get a flavour of Japanese culture and more importantly bring the Join in Jamboree programme to life for local Groups and Units. Each Unit has been asked to deliver some exciting Japanese themed programme activities in their local areas.

All the activities will be available online and on PoL (programmes on line). More programme ideas will be added during 2014 and into 2015 so please keep checking back.To request a visit of a Unit member with the box, contact or email one of the Herts Jamboree leaders to book a visit: or
