Besides, it has an extremely rich historical past.

According to the popular legend, it was named after the river, which had overgrowth of wine. Officially the first documents about our village appeared in the 17th century.

The glorious history of the village dates back to the middle of the 12th century, when our territory was seized by the Gotty and Gunny tribes. Then in the 9th century Polovtsi and Pechenigy seized our district. The end of the 12th – beginning of the 13th century was the period, when the Tatar tribes are being here.

But in the 15th century Zaporizhian Cossacks drived away them to the South. From 1712 to 1734, the enemy of Nohay Horde has come to the banks rivers Saksahan' and Losowatka. Having defeated the Tatars, Cossack troops settled on the banks of the river Dnipro and on the valleys of the river Losowatka.

Losowatka existed as afortress for defence against Nohay Horde. But in 1738 there were built many winter settlements by war sergant-major Semen Panchoha.

Convenient position of trading ways was the main factor for transformation of those settlements.Besides, successful development trade and various crafts in that region. Numerous trade settlements were turned into the villages of Saksahan', Losowatka and state military Komissarovka. In 1756 there was one large village of Komissarovka. Fedir Pohyl ( from the Cossacks of Myshuryn Rih ) was the first osadchyi of Komissarovka.

In 1774 the last koshovyi ataman Petro Kalnyshevs'kyi worried about the official journey of priest to Komissarovka. And in 1781 the wooden Mykolayivs'ka church was built. The second Uspens'ka church was built in 1804.

This place very intensive began to populate with people in the second part of the 19th century. The increasing of settlements is explained for opening Kryvyi Rih iron ore and building of Yekaterinoslavskaya railway. The left and the right banks of the river Losowatka are settled especially quickly, then it was named Losowatka.
