This course is for people who want to work with children in vacation programs and out of school hours services. You will learn how to plan activities and provide care for children of school age, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. /

Students will acquire the skills and knowledge to:

work effectively with children in outside school hours care

ensure children’s health and safety

safely and hygienically contribute to provision of nutritionally balanced food

support children to participate in outside school hours care

support the language and creative development of children

contribute to OHS processes
