Confidentiality agreement between project owner and student for external degree projects withintechnical programmes at Uppsala University

This confidentiality agreement applies as a supplement to the Collaboration agreement between project owner and studentfor external degree projects within technical programmes. In the event of a discrepancy between the agreements, this confidentiality agreementshall take precedence.

§ 1 This confidentiality agreement applies to:

The student's name, hereinafter referred to as the Student Personal identity number
The company's name, hereinafter referred to as the Project owner Corporate identity number

§ 2 The Student undertakes not to disclose or disseminate confidential information during the period the degree project is ongoing, and for another … years, calculated from the end date of the project.

This includes all information which the Project owner has legitimate reasons to keep secret and which relates to technical or other scientific knowledge.

The above does not apply to such information which

• upon receipt demonstrably was public knowledge or which thereafter without breach of this

agreement became public knowledge;

• The Student demonstrably already possessed upon receipt;

• The Student, in a legal manner demonstrably received from a third party without obligation of secrecy;

• has been developed independent of the Project owner's information;

• is a public document in accordance with Swedish legislation.

§ 3 The written report should be made available for examination. The examiner,

scientific reviewer and, where appropriate, the faculty examiner are covered by the same provisions asthe Student.

§ 4 The written report will be archived by Uppsala University The report will be stored in a mannerwhich does not violate the afore-mentioned provisions.

This confidentiality agreement has been prepared in five or six copies, of which the Project owner, Student, Examiner, Scientific reviewer, Archiving manager and, where appropriate,

the Faculty examiner have taken one each.
