Tift Regional’s Centers of Excellence provide advanced diagnostic and treatment services normally reserved for academic hospitals in larger metropolitan areas. The Elene Dorminy Women’s Pavilion
Women are unique because of their special physical anatomy, biorhythms and reproductive health. Housed on the second floor of the B.L. Southwell Tower on the corner of Lee Avenue and 20th Street, the Elene Dorminy Women’s Pavilion provides a host of quality medical services that are specialized for females.
Women’s Pavilion: Offering single room maternity care and traditional deliveries, with a family-focused approach to childbirth. Also offering a 10-bed women’s surgical unit. Call 386-7601 for more information.
Infertility Clinic: a specialist from Emory University provides Counseling. You may wish to discuss this option with your OB/GYN physician. Any TRMC medical staff member may schedule patient appointments by phoning 386-7601.
Mammography and Stereotactic Needle Core Breast Biopsy may be scheduled by any physician by telephoning 386-7500.

Baby Talk - A series of three classes designed for the expectant mother:
•Prepared Childbirth Class - A four-week series of in-depth classes designed to prepare the expectant mother for the upcoming labor and delivery experience.
•Breastfeeding Class - A two-hour class designed to give basic information on how to prepare for breastfeeding, getting started and common concerns.
•I’m A Big Kid Now Class - A class designed for children, ages 3-10, who are preparing for the arrival of a new baby in their family.

The Emergency Center
With a dedicated team of skilled and experienced emergency medicine specialists, Tift Regional’s 24-hour Emergency Center provides quality urgent care for injury and illness. Located on the corner of Lee Avenue and 20th Street, The Emergency Center has six trauma bays, 12 exam rooms and separate entrances for ambulances and walk-in patients.
MedChoice is an after-hours clinic for “little” emergencies. Under the direction of The Emergency Center, MedChoice is an after-hours clinic that treats minor illnesses or injuries. Open on weeknights, weekends and holidays, MedChoice sees walk-in patients whose medical problems are acute and do not require extensive diagnostic procedures or consults. The Heart Center
With a team of quality heart care physicians on staff including South Georgia’s only pediatric cardiologist, The Heart Center offers a wide array of cardiac diagnostic and treatment services.
Any physician may schedule diagnostic services including echocardiograms, TEEs, and stress echocardiograms by calling 386-6158 or 6258.
Vascular ultrasound, holter monitoring, and tilt treadmill stress tests may be scheduled by any physician at 386-6158 or 6258.
To schedule an electrocardiogram (EKG), any physician may call 386-6158 or 6258.
Cardiac catheterization services may be scheduled by any physician at 386-7751.
Nuclear medicine (thallium and persantine) stress tests may be scheduled by any physician calling
386-7500.
Cardiac rehabilitation services are provided through Rehabilitation Services of Tifton; phone 386-5200 for more information.
Neurodiagnostics/Sleep Studies
The Neurodiagnostics Center offers a full arrange of services designed to assist area physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of neurological conditions including treatment for sleep disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, epilepsy, stroke and other neurological conditions. A full line of electro-neurodiagnostic studies to evaluate the central and peripheral nervous system, such as digital EEGs, epilepsy monitoring, nerve conduction velocity studies, evoked potentials, ambulatory EEGs and EMGs. A Sleep Lab offers a full line of sleep studies to rule out disorders such as sleep apnea and narcolepsy. Any physician may call 386-7522 to make a patient referral.
Oncology Services
Medical Oncology: Oncology services including hematology and chemotherapy are provided on an outpatient basis by board-certified oncologists. For more details, any physician or patient may phone 386-7720.
Radiation Therapy: Using simulation and computerized treatment planning, the Tift Regional Oncology Center utilizes photon and electron beam therapy to cure or control cancerous growths. Radiation Therapy is located at 1623 Madison Avenue and may be reached at 229-386-1300.
Cancer Support Group: Meets every fourth Tuesday of each month at 1623 Madison Avenue. The group offers an open forum for the discussion of issues related to cancer and cancer care. Anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer and/or their adult family members are welcome to participate. To register, call 229-386-1300.
Hospice of Tift Area is a coordinated program of supportive care for persons with a limited life expectancy and their families. For information, patients and physicians may phone 229-556-6330.
Bereavement Support Group: Meets on a scheduled basis. For information call 229-556-6330. This support group is also open to the community.
Diagnostic Imaging Services
Staffed by a team of professional and experienced radiologists, technologists and support staff, the diagnostic imaging services department provides a wide array of diagnostic imaging examinations for outpatient, inpatient and emergency patients.
We provide a complete diagnostic imaging program, including:

In addition, Tift Regional Medical Center is proud to be one of the few hospitals that offer the emerging newest technology in filmless digital imaging. This technological advance provides easier management of your imaging results between your hospital visit and your physician, plus any out of town referrals if they become necessary. Seven surgical suites are utilized for same day and inpatient general and vascular surgery, and surgeries in specialty areas such as ophthalmology, gynecology, orthopedics, urology and others.

Dietitian Counseling
Your local physician can refer you to the TRMC Dietitian Counseling Program for assistance in planning a special diet. Physicians may telephone 386-6166 to schedule patients.
Kidney Dialysis
The Dialysis Center is located on 1607 Edgefield Drive, east of the hospital; it is a 20-station center, with a home peritoneal dialysis training room, Outpatient and Inpatient Renal Dialysis. For more information on the services provided, physicians or patients may call 386-2132.
Lithotripsy
This procedure involves the use of shockwaves to pulverize kidney stones. Physicians may refer a patient for lithotripsy by phoning 391-3535.
Laboratory Services
Offering a full range of diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, pathology and transfusion medicine. It is recommended that patients arrive for testing between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Any physician may direct questions to 386-7530.
Respiratory Services
With three board certified Pulmonologists on staff at TRMC and a staff of highly-skilled, board certified, State Licensed Therapists, the TRMC Respiratory Department offers a full array of inpatient and outpatient Respiratory Services.
Services Include:
- Pulmonary Function studies (including Body Plethysmography)
- Arterial Blood Gas Testing

WorkSmart
WorkSmartis a freestanding occupational health center offering comprehensive occupational medicine services. Services include treatment of work-related injuries and illness, substance abuse screenings, case management, coordination and tracking of cases with an emphasis placed on returning employees to work quickly. Tift Community Health Center
Located in Tifton at 2735 South Central Avenue, Tift Community Health Center (TCHC) provides affordable treatment of chronic, non-acute health problems and serves as an access point for preventive and wellness programs. TCHC helps fulfill Tift Regional Medical Center’s mission to meet the medical needs of patients who do not traditionally have access to health care.
