My name is Julie Marsteller, I teacher 8th grade Science at Hoover MS. In past years I have organized international travel (Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador) for students, families and friends.
I’m thrilled to invite you to travel with us, next Spring Break 2015, to PERU!! The trip will include Cultural, Scientific, Language and Service Learning components.

Itinerary to include: Machu Picchu, Lima, Sacred Valley, Cuzco, Indigenous markets and Service Learning Hours.
Your Journey through Lima and Machu Picchu is highlighted by two days of meaningful service and insightful activities I the Sacred Valley. While taking in the breathtaking sights and sounds from atop the mighty Andes, you’ll also get to volunteer at a local school, participate in local agricultural projects, earn some SSL hours and discover the traditional ancient weaving techniques used to this day.
The opportunity to experience our global classroom directly and see it is an incredible opportunity that will give these students new perspectives not only on themselves, but also on the world around them. In addition to this, having an international experience in middle and high school makes students more competitive college applicants and more likely to participate in study abroad programs.
I will be hosting an interest/enrollment meeting for this program on Thursday, MAY 22nd AT 7:00 PM room 149 HOOVER to answer all of your questions. Meeting will include: Trip cost, payment plan, May sign up discount, Itinerary and Q and A.
