Dixon High School Senior Trip 2018Rules and Regulations
Parent and student need to initial beside each number verifying that you have read and agree to the following rules, regulations and consequences. All forms must be signed.
1)All school rules apply! This includes all rules in the Dixon High School student handbook and Onslow County School Board Policies. In Florida, you are under Florida law and jurisdiction. (Dress code is relaxed for the trip. Grad Bash dress code will be given.
2)There will be no tobacco products allowed no matter the age of the student.
3)All persons and their belongings as well as their rooms are subject to searches by the administrator in compliance with reasonable search and seizure procedures granted to school administrators. ALL bags will be searched before departure.
4)Members of the opposite sex are not allowed in each other’s room for any reason what so ever. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action up to suspension from school and loss of prom and/or graduation privileges.
5)If you are caught drinking any type of alcoholic beverage, you will be suspended for 10 days, a police report will be filed, and you will not be allowed to participate in prom and/or graduation. Your parent will have to come to FL and pick you up.
6)If you are caught with illegal drugs or prescription drugs not prescribed to you, you will be suspended for 10 days, a police report will be filed and you will not be allowed to participate in prom and/or graduation. Your parent will come pick you up. If you are caught with drugs at school or caught on any other school sponsored trip you will not be allowed to attend Senior Trip.
7)If you are arrested, the administrator will make a good faith effort to contact the parents and notify them about the arrest. You WILL NOT BE BAILED OUT BY THE SCHOOL OR SCHOOL PERSONNEL. Your parents/guardians will have to go to Florida and get you out of jail.
8) You must be on time always. You will be given a phone number for your assigned chaperone as well as Mrs. Christel and Mr. Lovingood. You are expected to maintain contact with them especially in the event you have encountered some kind of problem or issue. They cannot help you if you do not make contact. Call, text, or leave a message and they will contact you.
9)If you are involved in a physical altercation or fight, you will be suspended for 10 days, a police report filed and you will not be allowed to participate in prom and/or graduation.
10)You may not leave the hotel at any time for any reason what so ever, unless it is part of the travel agenda. If you leave, you will be suspended for up to 10 days and you will not be allowed to participate in prom/or graduation.
11)Once room checks have been completed at night, you are not allowed to leave your rooms. If there is an emergency, please contact your assigned chaperone. If they cannot be reached, please contact Mr.Lovingood or Mrs. Christel. If the fire alarm is going off, please leave the building and meet by our bus. Failure to comply will result in up to a 5 day suspension and loss of prom and or graduation. If a park we are at has an emergency evacuation please meet at the bus.
12)You must treat all adults with respect. This includes all chaperones and any adult you encounter while on the trip. Profanity used towards an adult will result in a five day out of school suspension and possible loss of participation in prom/graduation.
13)The final decision on participation in prom and graduation will be made once we return from Florida and the administrative team has had a chance to discuss the issue.
14)Please stay with our Dixon family the entire time and with your classmates. The chaperones cannot be everywhere all the time. It is crucial to your safety.
15) If you are under a period of suspension from the school at the time of the trip, get OSS prior to the trip, get assigned ISS for a full day more than once, or have 2 or more discipline referrals in general, you will not be able to go on the trip. You must also be in good standing in class and follow the athletic attendance policy. Your deposit is non-refundable.
16)Your first deposit ($50) is due Oct 2nd withall signed paperwork. Deposit is non-refundable regardless of situation. We will not take deposit and paperwork separately. Payment plan: Oct 30-$116, Nov 30-$116, Dec 19-$116, Jan 30-$116, Feb 15th-$116 for final payment. There will be no refunds after Jan 7th unless documented reason is approved by administration. There will be no exceptions about final payment due date because we have to send a check to Universal at least one month before we go. These dates are important because we have to secure busses, tickets and hotel rooms.
