PROJECT 4: LAUNCHING CALCULATIONS

 Slope of the sliding ways, tan = 1/12

Distance of the aft perpendicular from the water level, p=0 m.

Length of the sliding ways, Lsw = 0.8*L

Wetted graund ways,  = 0.1*L

Total weight, WT = 0.7 *?LWL

Total breadth of the sliding ways, b = 0.3*B

Note that the waterlines at various distances from the aft perpendicular down the ways on the profile of the ship, si=p+i , i=0,2,4,6,8,10

Then, read off the immersed sectional areas from the bon-jean curves and calculate the buoyancy and its longitudinal center using the Table 1.

Static calculations can be carried out by using the Table 2.

Pressure calculations can be carried out by using the Table 3.

Dynamic calculations can be carried out by using the Table 4.
