Training Strategy—Tentative Dates and Descriptions of Courses

AAP and online training will begin in December. We will have online training for faculty who cannot come to in-person training and hope to have these modules available by mid-December. Modules will be created using Moodle resources and Camtasia to give faculty a perception of being an online student and actually using Moodle.

Session 5 Pilot Group Training

(Choose One Date and Time Only) / Basics of Moodle / This course is designed to take faculty members from a Blackboard to a Moodle environment by exploring tools and functions in Blackboard and the similar tool and functions in Moodle. Loading documents, creating tests, using the grade books, and basic forum set-up will be discussed. Each faculty member will have a blank practice course and may bring documents they wish to load. / The session is limited to 20 faculty members and is limited to the pilot group members and any mentors who will be teaching session 5 and would like practice helping other faculty.
