Title: Summer Fun

Objective: Students will be able to write and/or illustrate sentences describing their summer vacations.

Timeline: 30-45 minutes

1.  Procedures:

2.  Open Kid Pix 4.

3.  Open the color palette and select black.

4.  Click on the Pencil tool .

5.  Use the line tool set on small to draw a line about two inches below the top of the page.

6.  Click on the Typing tool and type in Summer Fun.

7.  Move the text box to the top of the page and change the text size to 48.

8.  Click on the Rubber Stamps tool.

9.  Select Ad Libs.

10.  Scroll to the sun stamp .

11.  Change the stamp size to large and put one sun on each side of the Summer Fun title.

12.  Click on the Pencil tool and select the small straight line to draw a vertical line down the center of the page.

13.  Use the same tool to draw another straight line across the page to make four boxes.

14.  Click on the Typing tool and click in the top left box.

15.  Type: I went......

16.  Complete the sentence with words and/or rubber stamp pictures.

17.  In the top right box, type: I saw..... and complete the idea with words and/or stamps.

18.  In the lower left box type: I ate... and complete the idea with words and/or stamps.

19.  In the lower right box type: I played... and complete the idea with words and/or stamps.

20.  Click on the Typing tool and add your name to the picture.

21.  Print (File>Print) or save (File>Save As) the picture.
