3. Write in the language in which you are being assessed.

4. Start each section on a NEW page.

5. You must plan (e.g. a mind map/diagram/flow chart/key words, etc.), edit and

proofread your work. The plan must appear BEFORE the answer.

6. All planning must be clearly indicated as such. It is advisable to draw a line across

all planning.

7. You are strongly advised to spend approximately:

  • 70 minutes on SECTION A
  • 30 minutes on SECTION B
  • 20 minutes on SECTION C

9. Give each response a suitable title/heading, as indicated by the question.

Write an essay of 150 – 200 words (1 - 1½ pages) on ONE of the following topics.

Write the number and title of your essay correctly. Supply your own title if one has not been given.

You are advised to spend approximately 70 minutes on this section.

Write an essay in which you discuss how social networking (facebook, twitter, Mxit, BBM etc.) has affected communication between teenagers.
