JOB SUMMARY:

This Job Description defines minimum standards of performance and skills required to function as a Customer Sales Representative (CSR) at RENT-2-OWN. In addition to these minimum standards, each CSR must be willing to identify and perform tasks which contribute to the overall mission of the RENT-2-OWN business and its relationship with our valued customers. The CSR must be able to communicate knowledge of “The Program”, terms of the agreement, and product feature and benefits while working with the customers. This position is also responsible for maximizing store revenue by utilizing communication and customer service skills which ensure customer retention. The CSR is the first level of contact with the customer. The CSR will greet customers on the sales floor or telephone, establishes a good rapport with the customer, determines the customer's needs, then presents the program and product(s) that will best satisfy the identified need. This CSR must first sell the features and benefits of the RENT-2-OWN Rental Program then; the benefits of the product ensuring the customer completely understands RENT-2-OWN’s commitment, as well as their own commitment to the program, product, agreement, and payment expectations. A continuing challenge of the RENT-2-OWN, Customer Sales Representative is to consistently apply professional prospecting techniques to generate new business while maintaining a high level of customer service for current customers. The CSR will solicit new business each day by following the training and prescribed methods of the company’s solicitation programs. The CSR is accountable for maintaining a clean, safe and attractive “Rent Ready” sales floor with all point of purchase material and proper price tags in place.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

§  Satisfactory work record and attendance.

§  High school graduate or equivalent.

§  Strong verbal communication, presentation, writing, organizational, computer, internet and phone skills.

§  Good communication and problem solving skills.

§  Willingness to work as a “Team Player”.

§  Prior Sales, Retail, Customer Service experience.

§  Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle all types of monetary transactions.

§  Willingness to work within the policies, procedures and ethics established by the company

§  Able to properly lift and repetitively maneuver all store products and equipment including but not limited to household furniture, appliances and electronics by using proper equipment and safe lifting techniques.

§  The ability to maintain and organize computer and paper files.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

§  Follows all Company policies and procedures for customer approval standards, recording sales, completing agreements, receiving monies and helping the Store Manager control inventory.

§  Maintains the sales floor ensuring that product is clean, working properly, priced and accessorized correctly.

§  Is able to price individual products as well as combined (packaged) products under the direction of the Store Manager.

§  Maintains confidential customer and store information within company procedures.

§  Is diligent in the development and training of customers to achieve “on time” payment habits.

§  Assists the customers with rental order forms and conducts proper order form verifications.

§  Continually develops on-going product knowledge and sales skills techniques.

§  The ability to maintain an accurate cash drawer as well as an accurate end of day bank deposit and documentation.

§  Proper delivery & installation of rental merchandise. *In-store and field deliveries *returns and service calls.

§  Receives product into the store by following the proper inventory receiving and transfer procedures.

§  Maintains the customer counter area in a safe, clean, organized condition.

§  Cleans and repairs product as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

§  Can successfully log and produce correct customer termination documentation from the store computer.

§  Can efficiently enter and update customer information and payments transactions using the store computer.

§  Can successfully perform inventory entries and search product status with the store computer.

§  Can successfully run a computer back-up.

§  Attends weekly store Team meetings and recommended sales training.

§  Promotes the integrity and goodwill of the company throughout the business and residential community.
