Title:Chief Information Officer
Reports to:Chief Executive Officer
Work Hours:Full Time 40 hours per week
Supervision Exercised: Information Technology Specialists
Salary Range:$50,000-$80,000 per year
Job Summary:
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for providing vision and leadership for development of strategy, implementation, and operations for the technology infrastructure to ensure an environment that supports the goals of the organization. This position collaborates with all levels of the organization and ensures the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all automated data processing systems. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology related position. At least five (2) years of progressively responsible experience as a CIO (or equivalent), assistant CIO, or as director or administrator of technology services.
- Experience in information technology strategic planning and substantive knowledge of the impact of technology on information management for administrative decision support, and electronic business processes.
- Experience in directing employees in the data processing environment

1. In depth and complete knowledge of all aspects of data processing
2. Ability to analyze and solve problems in addition to prioritizing and organizing.
3. Ability to effectively communicate opinions and extrapolations of information collected and analyzed.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide employees with top quality, consistently available computer service, support training and maintenance of all computer systems used throughout the organization.
2. Responsible for procuring, installing and maintaining all computer hardware and software and all other products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems operable and to fulfill management’s requests for computer support. Act as liaison between hardware and software suppliers and organization management for informational updates and problem resolution.
3. Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations in the MIS Department and throughout the organization.
4. Compile and review records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of
service. Develop methods to continually improve results.
5. Evaluate new equipment, software and processes continuously, recommend changes as appropriate, and supervise their installation.
6. Maintain security of all data proprietary to the organization and provide for the complete backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster.
