HORSE EVENTS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE!

POST ENTRIES ON THE DAY – COMPETITOR TICKETS TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE HORSE OFFICE.

Drug testing may be carried out at this show.

GATE ENTRY:

All competitors must complete an ASC Insurance waiver which is attached to this schedule, and hand it in at the horse office

COMPETITOR ENTRY FEES:

Competitors must complete a white Class Entrants Details Slip for each class entered.

Additional forms are available at the horse office when making entry fee payment.

RIBBONS:

1ST 2ND 3RD ribbons awarded in all classes, at the judges discretion.

Champions and Reserves to receive special ribbons.

PRIZE MONEY:

No prize money for classes, unless otherwise stipulated

Champion and Reserve Champions will receive $20 and $10 respectively.

Supreme Champions will receive a ribbon, unless otherwise stated.

AWARDS:

Champion & Reserve Champion awards will be made at the discretion of the judge. Other special awards will be awarded where stated in the schedule.

ENTRY TO THE RING:

A Class Entrants Details Slip and Entry Ticket must be presented to the Ring Steward for competitors to gain entry to the ring.

Due to safety concerns, Competitors ONLY to enter Ring. For Juniors ONE adult supervisor per competitor may enter. NO extra equipment, including prams, chairs, umbrellas, etc, is to be taken in the Ring.

Please note; there will be a lunch break in each ring.

ENTRY TO THE GROUNDS:

For competitors attending Sunday, a gate entry charge per person of $12 for adults and $2 for children must be paid. All passengers and driver must pay the advertised gate price. Please note: Membership of the Finley Show Society Inc entitles free entry to the show – for further information contact the show secretary.

STABLING & CAMPING FEES:

A camping and stable application form is set out in this schedule. Application must be lodged with fee to the Show Office by 27/08/12.

All competitors to supply own bedding, feed bins and water buckets. – A small amount of straw will be provided in each booked stable

NO REFUND ON UNUSED TICKETS:

One Entrant Ticket per horse per event

HORSE AGE:

To be calculated from 1 August.

ATTENTION:

All competitors in breed classes must be registered with their Association and MUST be current financial members

Registration papers must be available on request.

STALLIONS & COLTS:

Must be led by a bar, chain or bit when required and may only compete in those classes as set out for stallions and colts. Handlers must be 17 years and over.

DRESS:

All competitors must be suitably attired (including slacks, shirt, tie, boots, etc.) and must conduct themselves in an orderly manner at all times.

Judging:

All decisions of the judge/s will be final

All exhibitors are requested to refrain from conversing with the judge/s during judging unless asked to do so.

JUDGES:

The Committee reserves the right to substitute a judge if deemed necessary and to delete or combine any class as required.

IMPROPER BEHAVIOUR:

Outside assistance to competitors by word, by radio or any other method in Horse Ring Events will not be permitted. If in breach of this ruling, competitors and their exhibits may be dismissed from the event and from the Showground. Competitors names to be submitted to the A.S.C.

DISPUTES:

All disputes to be referred to the Ringmaster who will adjudicate if necessary with the help of a Disputes Committee, appointed prior to the commencement of the Show. All disputes must be lodged within 1 hour of the event in question in writing together with a fee of $50 which will be forfeited if the dispute is not settled in favour of the competitor who raises the dispute.

VETERINARY SURGEONS:

Contact details will be available from the Show Secretary’s office. Services rendered by any veterinary surgeons to animals at the Show will be at owner’s expense.

DEFINITIONS

The Champion will be selected from the 1st place winners from each of the eligible classes.

The Reserve Champion will be selected from the remaining 1st place winners and the 2nd place getters from the class which supplied the Champion.

Supreme Champion will be according to the Schedule.

A judge officiating at an Official Show is under no obligation to award 1st, 2nd, 3rd (any placing) if he/ she considered such placing not up to standard.

LOCAL CLASSES: 25 kms.

NOVICE: Is a hack which has not been placed 1st in any individual ridden hack class at any Official Show.

ELEMENTARY: One which has not won s first prize in an individual class at any Royal Show.
