Klados:

“Klados” mission team is covered by faithful prayer warriors and supported under the missions of Faith Covenant Church in Sumner WA. It is our passion to minister to women who have found themselves in slavery to human trafficking, to men who are purchasing these women for their own pleasures and to the broken families who are so deeply affected by this rapidly growing industry in the US. Too often broken families send negative messages to their children, unintentionally causing them to become distant and lonely and making them potential victims to the many dangers in our world today.

Although “Klados” has existed for over 7 years, we just received our name this year. Kirstie Walrath has taken the lead for our summer program. Her and several other community members have teamed together to present this event. Their passion for ministry and missions in the area of Human Trafficking is beautiful. “Klados” means branches, we are God’s hands reaching out. (John 15:4-6) Christ is the vine and we are his branches. When we abide in him, we bear much fruit. As we view this world today, we can see quite clearly that apart from him we can do nothing. The fruit of Christ is becoming so watered down that we are losing many to a numb society. Klados ministries believes it is our responsibility to reach those who are in desperate need of comfort, protection and guidance.

We have teamed up with the Covenant Church “PROTECT” program and Shared Hope International (SHI) for this event to help raise awareness and funds to help those in need. We deeply desire that you would consider lending us your “Klados” at this event as we come along side these two organizations to create a safer environment for our young ones to grow up.
