Section III. Terms of Reference (ToR) for Video Conferencing Solution

Executive Summary:

Training and Education needs and its methodologies are evolving faster than ever. Training Institutions and Educators are facing increasing demands in introduction of new technologies and outreach programs like: distance learning programs; video conferencing technologies to integrate subject matter experts into the classroom learning, etc. Distance learning programs enabled with video conferencing solution provide more interactive and synchronous learning platform to result in improved learning experience at classrooms. In addition to these, knowledge sharing; virtual meetings; and extensive communication requirement in research and consulting works also need a reliable technology to collaborate and share effectively in real-time. Videoconferencing platformis a high-quality, easy to use and affordable solution for meeting the extending training capability and communication and sharing requirement of research and consulting works.

Being premium institution in capacity building through training, research and consulting, NASC is in need of Video conferencing solution and issued this RFP.

The purpose of this RFP is to select a solution provider to deliver, implement and customize the Video conferencing solution for NASC. The video conferencing platformsshould provide:

  • Reliable Performance independent of network;
  • Highest Quality conferencing;
  • Multiparty Video Conferencing;
  • Extreme Scalability;
  • Broad Distribution;
  • Secure Communication.

The objective of this RFP is to procure software and hardware infrastructure for video conferencing solution which feature considerable benefits in areas including:

  • Improved communication;
  • Rapid response to a changing training extension needs;
  • Business agility and interoperability;
  • Quantifiable cost savings

The qualified Solutions Providers shall be authorized by manufacturers to honor Agreement warranty and extended service plans if applicable. The Solutions Provider must show the evidence of full technical strength to deliver, plan, and design and deploy the solutions and regular maintenance and support for video conferencing solution.

Current Environment:

NASC presently has rack based and tower servers which are hosting the different internal application like: Internal communication systems (email, chat system), intranet, HRIS, DMS, Antivirus, Payroll,etc.on virtualization platform. It has Gbps LAN over fiber medium and manageable L2/L3 core switches and firewall. It has 10 Mbps internet connectivity and entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi facility.
