1. Verify intake stacks are clean, dry and can be easily removed (not frozen in place). Note: This may require an aloft chit

2 Verify impact cup for the Collector intake is clean and in place.

d. BBSU Setup:
1. Visually inspect BBSU exterior for damage. / 2M-12. Visually inspect LCS for damage / smudges. / 2M-1
3. Open BBSU doors and visually inspect all components and connections. / 2M-1
4. Visually inspect internal components for:
Fluid leaks
Air leaks
Tight Connections / Ref (f)
5. Inspect FTS shrouds for broken needles. / Ref (f)
e. Test Operate JBPDS:
1. Test operate JBPDS in accordance with PMS.
Verify all components are operational.
Verify Time/Location/Weather feed.
Verify BAWS Elastic PHD ______(should be less than 1200) / 2M-1
2. Verify Reference Card threshold values (gain values) for all 10 strips on the reference carrier are between 45 and 105. / 2M-1
3. Test operate local BBSU alarm. / 2M-1
4. Test operate ship’s chemical alarm. / 2M-1
5. Verify communication with External Controller Subsystem (ECS) (CIC and DCC). / 2M-1
6. Verify Dry Collection Filter Adapter is operational / Ref (f)
f. Visually Inspect External Controller Subsystem (ECS). NOTE: JBPDS installations after OCT 2008 have one ECS located in CCS/DCC. Earlier installations may contain an additional ECS located in CIC.
