What you will need:

1.  A one page complete summary of your book. (typed or handwritten in blue or black ink) The report must include the title, author, and tell an abbreviated version of your entire story.

2.  A page listing each item in your bag and brief explanation as to its relevance to the book

3.  A brown PAPER bag or large plastic bag, such as a grocery store bag

4.  3-5 objects* that represent characters, places, events, and clues from the book (*do not bring any item to school that is not allowed)

Directions:

1.  Find or make 3-5 objects (which will fit inside of your bag) to represent parts or characters of the book and to help you tell the story of your book. You may not draw pictures of items or print pictures from the computer. Insert all objects into the bag.

2.  Prepare a 2-3 minute presentation to tell the class the title, author, complete summary of the book, and show/ explain each object from the bag, telling how it relates to the story.

3.  Practice the presentation!! This is an ORAL book report supplemented with props from your bag. The more you practice, the easier it will be on the day you present.
