Job Title: Administration Officer

Reporting to: Head of Administration/PA to CEO

My job influences, inspires and supports people to embrace and maintain a vegetarian lifestyle by providing general operational support and customer service for the organisation to enable us to work smoothly and efficiently, providing excellence.

Main Duties:

1.  To provide a range of administration and operation support across the organisation at the direction of Head of Admin including, for example:

·  Processing and administration of membership reminders, renewals and applications

·  Routine tasks associated with media enquiries and monitoring of media coverage

·  Administrative tasks associated with campaigns and events

·  Assisting in maintaining the premises and equipment

·  Processing and co-ordinating the merchandise orders

·  Processing information onto the Society’s database, updating on a daily basis

2.  To provide excellent customer service and support the Vegetarian Society’s external and internal relationships and communications systems

3.  To receive all incoming telephone calls and to attend to all visitors to the premises

4.  To enter data, maintain and produce reports from Raisers Edge and other Vegetarian Society databases

5.  Franking and processing all post and deliveries including sending out resources and merchandise

6.  To work with volunteers and temporary staff as required

7.  To undertake any such relevant and appropriate duties as required

Experience and Qualifications

Skills Knowledge

·  Good keyboard and telephone skills / E
·  Proficient use of MS Office (Outlook, World, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) / E
·  Good database skills (data entry, running reports, etc) / E
·  Good communications skills and the ability to ability to interact confidently with colleagues and external partners and customers by telephone, in person and in written communications. / E
·  Ability to work flexibly and positively to support the work of others / E
·  Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team / E
·  Ability to take instruction and deliver tasks as requested / E
