HOW TO BE SUCESSFUL IN THIS COURSE

Similar to the other phys. ed courses I’m sure you’ve taken, this course is mostly based on participation and effort. I expect you to be swimming EVERY CLASS (remember this is only twice a week because we have theory every Friday). The beginning of each class is fitness based. You will be doing a 20 minute workout in this time and I expect you to perform to the best of your ability. You will see fitness and skill improvement throughout the year that will make you very happy…if you try your best.

WHAT DO I NEED?

You need a bathing suit, towel and soap for every class. Yes, you may wear a bikini but you may not want to because you will be much more comfortable in a one piece once you see the types of activities we are doing. You may wear a t-shirt or shorts on top of your bathing suit, although it will be harder to swim!

There is a course fee of $10. This will buy you a swim cap which I recommend you wear everyday and that you must wear during the water polo unit.

There will be a fee associated with the Bronze Star program. I will let you know as soon as possible how much it will be.

Let’s have a great year together!

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
