Mayor Hendricks called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm in the council chambers

Members Present: Hendricks, Heyblom, Fragnito-Smith, Gangl, Marinaro

Members Absent: none

Attorney John Dimich absent

*Motion by Heyblom, seconded by Gangl to approve the minutes of the November 13, 2012 council meeting

Ayes all present—motion carried

*Motion by Heyblom, seconded by Gangl to approve all bills signed and file the claims report as official record

Ayes all present—motion carried

City Departments:

Karen Calaguire approached the council regarding training: mandatory EMT refresher training for 13 to 16 people, December 1st and 2nd. All reimbursable by

the state. The council agreed to the training but no formal motion was made.

Jim Maddern –discussed the Durango and the possibility of lending the vehicle to the Keewatin Police Department while their vehicle is being repaired. Heyblom suggested having a contractual agreement in place.

*Motion by Hendricks, seconded by Fragnito-Smith to allow Keewatin Police Department to use the Dodge Durango till their car is returned and to sign the contractual agreement

*Motion by Gangl, seconded by Fragnito-Smith to approve the communications as read

Old Business:

Hire skating rink attendants- table till December 3rd and discuss with union

New Business:

Discussed the new schedule for the 4th of July and the band

*Motion by Heyblom, seconded by Fragnito-Smith to approve band contract for the 4th of July celebration-Shackshakers from 7-10:30 cost $1,500.00

Ayes all present—motion carried

Kay Levitan approached the council regarding the sidewalk plowing and if criminals would be able to do the shoveling if needed. Hendricks commented that sometimes the plowing doesn’t get done right away but the crew will get to it

*Motion by Heyblom, seconded by Gangl to set union negotiation meeting for December 3, 2012 @ 3:00 p.m. with a work session immediately following

Ayes all present—motion carried

Hendricks updated the council on the RAMS meeting and also spoke with the county regarding the land exchange

*Motion by Heyblom, seconded by Gangl to adjourn the meeting at 4:50 p.m.
