Sunday Announcements – March 18, 2018
1. Holy Week schedule:
Holy Thursday is at 7 pm
Good Friday: Stations of the Cross will begin at All Saints Anglican Church at 10 am followed by light lunch in the parish hall.
Good Friday: Passion of the Lord is at 3 p.m.
Easter Vigil is at 8 p.m.
There is a lot to do in preparation for all of the services this week.
On Thursday and Saturday mornings, we will be decorating the Altar of Repose and the Main Altar. Would you be willing to help? If so, please come at 9:30 a.m. here.
On Friday, we will be walking through the town of Agassiz doing the Stations of the Cross. This is a powerful image and witness to the entire community. We will be departing from All Saints Anglican Church on Lougheed Highway at 10 a.m. sharp, walking through the town, and ending up at our parish for the final prayer. There will be Soup & Buns in the parish hall upon our arrival.
If you would like to park your car here and car pool over to All Saints Anglican Church, please arrive here no later than 9:45 a.m.
All these days I would like to request that the Knights of Columbus and CWL be here and help us to prepare for the liturgy. Finally, for everyone who is participating in the services, please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to start time for any last minute instructions. Please accept my gratitude to everyone who is participating, and we look forward to seeing all of you!
2. Would you like to donate for the Easter Flowers? If you wish to, please place them in an envelope and clearly mark your name and the person(s) you wish to honor. Thank you for your generosity!
3. St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Women’s League is pleased to offer one scholarship this year 2018 of $500.00. This scholarship is available to all students graduating from Grade 12 who are practicing their faith and whose family is registered at St. Anthony Parish. Application forms can be picked up in the foyer of the church. Submission deadline is Thursday May 31.
4. The Chrism Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral this upcoming Wednesday, and Fr. Steny will be there in attendance. For this reason, the Mass on Wednesday will be at 8 am. Please mark your calendars.
