1ST ORDER OF BUSINESS: Call meeting to order.
2ND ORDER OF BUSINESS: Approve Minutes from prior meeting

3RD ORDER OF BUSINESS: Distribution of ‘Your Duty under the Law’ and ‘Managing Public Records’
‘Your Duty under the Law’ and ‘Managing Public Records’ were distributed to all council members and proof of receipt and certificate of distribution were signed.
4th ORDER OF BUSINESS: Hiring of coaching positions, cheer, girls basketball and football.
No new applications were available for cheer and football. Upon consulting council Mr. Reed recommended the hiring of Donna Reed for the 6th grade girls basketball position and Eugene (Blue) Reynolds for the 7th grade girls basketball position.
5th ORDER OF BUSINESS: Set date and times for open house
After a brief discussion, 6th grade open house was set for August 8th from 5:30 until 7:00. 7th grade open house was set for August 9th at 5:30 and 8th grade open house was set for August 9th at 6:00.

6th ORDER OF BUSINESS: Look at PTO requests
After a discussion, the SBDM council approved 4 dances for the 2011-12 school to be held by PTO. The first dance will be a 6th grade only dance to welcome the incoming 6th grade students. The next 2 will be open to all grades. The final dance will be the 8th grade dance. The dances will be held on Friday nights from 7 until 10. The exception being the 8th grade dance which can be held on a Saturday.
The council also approved the Fall Festival to be held at a location decided on by the PTO (either in the building or the football field).
The council requests more information on the Christmas Bazaar before approving or denying the event.
