Dear Parents,

During the week of March 1-7, 2015 (include the 8th if that’s a better Sunday for celebrations), (name of school) will celebrate Lutheran Schools Week. Each of the schools and early childhood education centers of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will have an opportunity to give special emphasis to their educational ministry program.

As it says in Proverbs 22:6, “Train a child in the right way, and when old, they will not stray”. To this end, (name of school) provides a caring, nurturing and Christian environment for its children, families, teachers and staff to grow, learn and develop. This week we will be enjoying and celebrating the excellence of our programs. We will strive to share with parents, congregation, and community the special experience of attending a Lutheran school.

Lutheran Schools Week 2015 is centered around the theme, “Our Children . . . A Future with HOPE”. Through our theme, the children will share stories of children who serve others and make an impact in big and small ways, who will be our future leaders and who love The Lord. Theywill reach out to the school, congregation and community with the truths they have learned and experienced this week.

The following activities have been planned during the week. Please help your child prepare for school day activities and attend all of the family centered activities that are planned during the week.

(This is a place to fill in your list of activities for the week. Don’t forget Sunday if you have something planned for the congregation during the worship service.)

Be sure to mark your calendar with all of the above dates, so that your child and family may fully participate in sharing the message of Lutheran Schools with each other, the congregation, and the community.

Sincerely, in Christ,
