PROJECT NAME

The General Conditions set out in the Contract Document Package, form an integral part of these Supplemental General Conditions and are incorporated herein. Where any condition or provision set out within the General Conditions conflicts with any of the conditions and provisions set out within these Supplemental General Conditions, the condition or provision set out in these Supplemental General Conditions shall govern.

A capitalized term when used herein shall have the meaning set out in the Glossary of Terms.

NOTE TO USERS: THESE SGC’S ONLY APPLY TO MINOR WORKS CONTRACTS. YOU MUST TURN ON MS WORD’S “HIDDEN TEXT” FEATURE IN ORDER TO VIEW THE INSTRUCTIONS (Tools - Options – View – Hidden Text). DELETE THIS TEXT PRIOR TO PUBLICATION.

“Mandatory SGC’s” [highlighted with BLACK text], where they exist below, are to be used in every tender and contract. As of July 7, 2005, there are no “Mandatory SGC’s” for Minor Works.

“Standard SGC’s” [highlighted with GREEN text] may be used at the Project Team’s discretion but within policy guidelines. Use of “Standard SGC” clauses in circumstances outside of policy restrictions makes them “Restricted SGC’s” to be dealt with as follows.

“Restricted SGC’s” [highlighted with RED text] and any other clauses the Project Team would like to use require pre-approval by the Director, Construction & Maintenance Branch and/or the Ministry solicitor.
