Querencia residents enjoy their“last chance to wear white” at labor day celebration

AUSTIN, texas, September03, 2008: Labor Day marked the close of the 2008 summer fashion season and residents of Querencia at Barton Creek retirement resort went out in style at the community’s “Last Chance to Wear White” Labor Day celebration. More than 75 residents dressed in all-white to enjoy a white wine and white cheese cocktail party while live music from pianist David Greenfield Bowie played in the background. Residents continued the Labor Day celebration at dinner in the Mesquite dining room.

“It was dazzling to see so many people dressed in all-white,” said Gloria Young, resident of Querencia. “The community is always dreaming up creative events and celebrations for the residents and I have a fabulous time at each one of them.”

“It was great to see our residents relax, laugh, and enjoy the good company of their neighbors at the event,” said Emily Yeager, lifestyles director of Querencia at Barton Creek.
