-Place your cursor where you would like the screen shot image to be located. (You might have to tab over or return down a few rows).

-Go to Edit  Paste.

-Your screen shot should now be located in yourWord document.

ENTERING DATA INTO EXCEL AND FINDING THE ALGEBRAIC MODEL:

1)Put the titles of each column in Row 1.

2)Enter years in column A (be sure to let x = 0 for 1990)

3)Enter population in column B

4)Highlight both columns

5)Go to Insert and down to Chart

6)Choose Scatter; Click Next

7)Click Next. Enter Title (Population of ______) and label the x (years) and y axis (population in millions). Under the legend tab “unclick” show legend.

8)Click Next. Click Finish.

9)Go to Chart at the top and click on the arrows to see all the options. Click “add trendline.” (Your cart

10) Make sure Linear is highlighted. Click on the Options tab. Click on show equation and display r squared value. Click OK. Equation will appear – it is like a text box, you can move it around.

11) For the Quadratic Model: Repeat steps 9 and 10, but click on Polynomial of degree 2 for the quadratic model.

12) To find the r-value: Click on cell D2 and type =CORREL(A2:A12,B2:B12). (Use the range of cells where you put your data into the argument).

13) Double click on the equation of the linear model. Put the r value in the text box under the r2 value. Your completed chart should look something like:
