How to complete an ACT Registration Packet
We are so excited to offer the ACT to 6th graders, what a great way to track their progress through middle school and into high school and college! Students under 12 years of age cannot register only, they must complete a Registration Packet, so here’s a few tips:
Complete A-J- you will probably have no problem with these.
Box K- Graduation year- 2023
Box L- High School Code- 251749
- This is Germantown High School’s code. Please put their high school code, this way your child’s scores will be reported back to GHS. GHS will share the scores with GMS for our test tracking purposes.
Box M- Test Option and Test Date.
- I recommend ACT (No Writing) for all middle school students. The writing portion is about 1 hour longer than the ACT (No Writing). Since the ACT is already a long test, it is not necessary for kids to take the Writing at this age.
- February 11, 2017 is the test date I recommend because we offer the ACT here at GMS.
Box N- Test Center Code- 244649
- This is the Germantown Middle School Test Center Code. This way you can test here at GMS with all middle school kids.
Box O- Colleges and Scholarships
- This is optional and not really applicable at this time.
Inside the Registration Folder:
High School Course Information- All courses will be marked “Have Not Taken But Will”
Interest Inventory- Just a list of questions that start the college planning with your child.
Back of the Registration Folder:
Box W- Voucher or Waiver
Not applicable for any middle school student.
Uploaded Photo is NOT REQUIRED for 6th graders that are under 12 years old. The will only need to bring the ACT Student Identification Form signed by Mrs. McKinnon or Mrs. Bouchillon. (Letter is included in packet)
