Target Audience

This program has been designed for physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, physician assistants, pharmacists, medical assistants, professional nurses, advanced practice nurses in the medical specialties of dermatology, family medicine, internal medicine, infectious diseases, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry and neurology.

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply in clinical practice approaches for preventing HIV infection and getting newly diagnosed patients into care
  • Individualize ARV therapy for the treatment-naïve and treatment-experienced patients
  • Manage the aging patient with HIV infection, including issues associated with cardiovascular and bone disease

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the rationale and current approach to anal cancer screening
  • Describe current treatment approaches for anal cancer precursors
  • Review current indications for HPV vaccination among HIV-infected people
